The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King: The capital of Gondor is under attack, and the battle for Middle Earth is on. Sauron, the dark one, is gaining power, and his victory seems certain. Gandalf and the other fight on with the only hope lying in the efforts of two little Hobbits. Frodo, and his lifelong friend Sam are battling their way to Mount Doom in order to destroy the One Ring, the ring that give Sauron his great power. Their success or failure will determine the fate of Middle Earth.

Stallion Road: Devoted veterinarian Reagan and novelist buddy Scott vie for the benevolence of horse rancher Smith; low-key drama written by Stephen Longstreet. Cast includes Ronald Reagan, Alexis Smith, Zachary Scott, Peggy Knudsen, Patti Brady, and Harry Davenport. (91 minutes, 1947)

Halloween: Sixteen years ago, at the age of ten, Michael Myers was put in prison for slaughtering his stepfather, his sister, and her boyfriend. He has escaped from prison, and is headed back to Haddonfield with vengeance on his mind. Dr. Sam Loomis is frantically trying to track him down. He knows the true evil that exists in Michael.

So I Married an Axe Murderer: A man who’s never been able to commit to marriage ultimately meets Miss Right, and then finds out that she’s a infamous axe murderess! Myers is ingratiating and hilarious in a second role as his own contrary Scottish dad however the film by no means switches into high gear. The General: Boorman inscribed this personality research of a true story about a Dublin felon known as the General, who avoided being captured for years. Following his own skewed set of morals, he masterminds robberies both big and small, refuses to trust anyone, cherishes 2 ladies simultaneously, and matches brains with a tough nosed cop (Voight) who is decided to catch him. Cast includes Brendan Gleeson, Jon Voight, Adrian Dunbar, Sean McGinley, Maria Doyle Kenoedy, Angeline Ball, and Eamonn Owens. (124 minutes, 1998)

Hail Caesar: Horrible music-megastar wannabe (Chamber) is in love with an offensive debutante, whose dad is plotting to undermine an upcoming concert. Not a very good film. In The lord We Tru$t: Ignorant friar Feldman treks to L.A. to raise money for his monastery. This film is a comedy that is tragically unfunny containing Pryor, who plays God. Cast includes Marty Feldman, Peter Boyle, Louise Lasser, Richard Pryor, Andy Kaufman, Wilfrid Hyde-White, and Severn Darden. (97 minutes, 1984)

A Good Woman: Another rendition of Oscar Wilde’s Woman Windermere’s Fan which was filmed a few times over the years. This time it is set in Italy instead of England and updated from the 1890s to the 1930s. A number of Wilde’s British characters now are Americans; one of them is Mrs. Erlynne a sorely miscast Seek, a bankrupt adventuress who shows up in Amalfi and decides to seduce very wealthy, recently wedded Robert Windermere Umbers.
