MP3 music – Creating mp3s

March 28th, 2007

Although the web provides us with many different ways of grabbing mp3 music files, there are times when we might want to just get a song from one of our old CDs and transform it into an mp3 file for our computer. If you have a computer running windows XP, you will find that at times you might want additional options such a modifying title, artist info or even the bit rate or encoding type of the song you have chosen.

For this, you’ll have to turn to an external program. There are many options available on the Internet; some are even free for download. First, you must put you audio CD of choice into your CD-Rom drive, select the files you want to convert to mp3 music, and normally you can start converting them right away. The program you might choose to do this with can have additional option. This is when you’ll need to find a proprieties tab in it and start changing all stated above; bit rate, encoding, location to save your files and so on.

But if you are in a hurry, just use Windows XP to grab your mp3 music files. However, there’s a possibility the music will have less quality but this process can be a lot faster.
