January 19th, 2008Recently I decided to begin downloading some movies to watch during the summer rerun season. I began searching for the best deal available.
By their nature movie rental places stock only the more popular movies. And those movies are not inexpensive. My tastes in entertainment are different from those of most others. The movies I enjoy are normally not stocked by the rental stores.
To me, most all of the entertaining movies are those made many years ago, especially the musicals, comedies, and mysteries.
Isn’t it odd that in those bygone years comedians could tell one joke after another while receiving standing ovations and without speaking a single curse word. All this was done with never an inference that someone might somehow be inferior to someone else.
It is certain that those days were not perfect but families could always find very entertaining movies to watch together without risk of being offended or denigrated.
Times have changed! If you are able to watch five or ten minutes of a movie without hearing even one curse word or seeing someone’s naked butt on the screen, consider yourself very fortunate. As for me, I do not appreciate that nonsense. I have been around longer than the usual movie goer and I have heard and used all those words and I know what they mean. So hearing them from someone else does not thrill me. Also, I have seen my own butt in the mirror often enough that I am now readily able to recognize one when I see it. I therefore have no need to look at one belonging to someone else.
I was very surprised and very happy when I found a site offering more than 80 million DVD quality movies with unlimited access and unlimited downloading of all the movies you might want for as long as you wish. There is a one time cost of less than $40 - but everything in life comes at a cost. Consider how few rentals you might get for that $40. And consider that the next time you want to watch a movie you won’t have to go out in bad weather.
This site has a fine selection of movies! Both old and very recent movies are available; many of the movies I found were ones I had watched with my parents as a child. They provided me with some very pleasant memories.

If you find nothing you like on this site; whatever you like probably does not exist.
